Come face-to-face with endangered mountain gorillas and search for wild chimpanzees during this 7-day, guided trip. Meet our representative upon landing in Entebbe and drive to Kibale Forest National Park. Track the troops of chimpanzees that live in the national park.

Your next destination is Queen Elizabeth National Park, located at the base of the Rwenzori Mountains. This spectacular national park is full of wildlife and is known for its large elephant population. Drive from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi and try spotting the famous tree climbing lions in Ishasha on the way.

Come face to face with endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will be allocated one of the nine groups of mountain gorillas along with an experienced guide. Learn more about these fabulous primates that are increasingly on the verge of extinction from your guide before driving across the Uganda/Rwanda boarder to Kigali for your international flight home. Day by Day Itinerary

You will be picked up from the airport by our representative and transfer to hotel for overnight stay. Overnight: Laico/Ariport Guest House. Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast

Have breakfast then depart for Fort Portal town where Kibale Forest is. This is the Western part of Uganda with scenic route of tea and banana plantations. There are small lakes and channels around the town. Arrive in time for lunch and relax the rest of the afternoon. Overnight: Kyaninga Lodge/Kibale Forest Camp. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Arise early for Chimp tracking. Kibale Forest hosts the highest number of primates in the world. This forest is a perfect place to meet the Chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Other species that you will see are monkeys. You will have 1 hour with the Chimp. Return to the lodge and have lunch. Afternoon is spent on leisure or swamp walk around the area where you will meet communities living in the area. Overnight: Kyaninga Lodge/Kibale Forest Camp. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Have breakfast then depart for Queen Elizabeth, Uganda’s 2nd largest park which sits on the base of Ruwenzori Mountain ranges and next to Lake Edward and Lake George. The journey to the park is a scenic one. The park hosts Elephants, Uganda Kob, Gazelle, Warthog, Waterbuck, hippos, bufallos and tree climbing lions. Check in at the lodge and relax. Overnight: The Bush Lodge/Mweya Safari Lodge. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Have early breakfast at the lodge then head out for a game drive. During the drive, you will meet Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Waterbuck, Leopard, Uganda Kob, and many Warthogs. Return later to the lodge for lunch. Relax and later have a boat ride along the Kazinga Channel which joins Lake Edward and Lake George. Expect to see buffalo, crocodile, bathing elephant, and a range of beautiful birds. This will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of stay in Queen Elizabeth. After the boat-safari you game drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Overnight: The Bush Lodge/Mweya Safari Lodge. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast head to Bwindi, Buhoma region. This is a long ride but very scenic. Arrive in time for late lunch. The rest of the afternoon is spent with relaxation. Overnight: Mahogany Springs or Silverback Lodge/Buhoma Lodge or Gorilla Valley Lodge or Bwindi Lodge by Volcanoes. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Another highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Especially hikers will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike, it may take two to eight hours. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorilla. But it will be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience! Note: For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes. After trekking, we depart for Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest lake in Uganda. This area is often called the ”the ittle switzerland of Uganda” and boasts one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Overnight: Birds Nest Resort at Bunyonyi/Bunyonyi Overland Resort. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, depart for Entebbe or Kampala with lunch stop at the Equator. Arrive in Entebbe or Kampala in evening for either an overnight or departure.
